How To Clear Your Browser Cache

To ensure optimal performance and improve privacy during internet browsing, it is important to regularly clear your browsing data, which includes cookies, cached files, search history, and more. Below are detailed instructions for clearing browsing data in various web browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox.

Before you start you'll need a computer connected to the internet and you'll also need to open up your browser to follow the instructions below:

Google Chrome

1. Click on the 3 horizontal dots on the top right corner  >  Delete browsing data.
2. In the "Advanced tab" choose a time range from the drop down menu, like "All time" or last "4 weeks."
3. Select the types of information you want to remove like: browsing history, download history, cookies and other data etc.
4. Click Delete data.

NOTE: If you delete cookies while signed in to Chrome, you won't be automatically signed out of your Google Account.

Microsoft Edge

1. Click on the 3 horizontal dots on the top right corner.
2. From the drop down menu, click on "Settings."
3. Under the  "Clear browsing data" option, click on "Choose what to clear."
4. Select "Cookies and "saved website data" as well as "Cached data and files."
5. Confirm your selections by clicking on the "Clear button" to complete the process.

Firefox

1. Click on the 3 vertical lines on the top right corner
2. Click on "History/"
3. Select "Clear recent history."
4. Select a “time range” in the popup, and the options Cookies, Cache, etc.
5. Click on "Clear Now."

Safari

1. On the keyboard, press: "Command+YClick"
2. in the popup that appears select "Clear browser history,"
3. Select a time range.
4. Click on "Clear History."

The keyboard shortcuts for the same are:

1. For windows, “Ctrl+Shift+R”
2. For Mac, “Command+Shift+E”
