Background

Canberry Dental approached me with an urgent need to rebuild their website from the ground up. Their existing website was hosted on a remote cloud server managed by a previous web designer who was no longer reachable. Without access to FTP credentials or hosting management tools, the site was essentially locked and unmaintainable. However, domains were registered elsewhere away from the host.

 

Challenges

  • No Access to Existing Website: The original site could not be updated, backed up, or migrated due to lost credentials.
  • Urgent Need for Online Presence: The live site crashed due to its poor state, it had also been outdated and unrepresentative of the clinic’s high standards.

Brand Identity Concerns: The old design lacked visual consistency, some of the the colours were too dark, and didn’t communicate the clinic’s commitment to excellence. 

My Approach

    • Redirected domain names to the new host without any interruption to the business.
  2. Full Website Redesign:
    • Designed a clean, modern, and professional website that reflects Canberry Dental’s values and services.
    • Focused on usability, accessibility, and responsive design to ensure the site works well across all devices.
  3. Performance Optimisation:
    • Built the site to load quickly and rank well in search engines.
    • Implemented best practices for SEO, mobile optimisation, and page speed.
  4. Visual & Brand Identity:
    • Using the client’s color palette, I implemented new typography, and layout that aligned with their commitment to excellence.
    • Integrated high-quality imagery and reworked service descriptions to boost trust and engagement.

Results
